Find a track that requires a steering wheel and you'll realize that there are very few domestics that can replace the Z32... the Mustang is not, and will probably never be, one of them. (In fairness, I don't think Ford is trying, either... the Mustang is supposed to be more muscle than sport.) Last I checked, they don't even have independent rear suspensions until you're looking at GT500s (I think those have IRS)... though rumors say the 2014 Mustang finally will.
